It's just the right time...

Do I really need to start by saying how surprising life can be?!
The mid-life crisis hit hard during COVID and after almost 1 year in search of a new me, I decided to start my studies in programming. Seconds later, I thought about the love I felt when drawing as a child, and in a few minutes I concluded that becoming a Game Designer would be my new purpose and ignorance helped me to just get started.

Design + C++
At first, I understood that the mission of building a game would be the cruel task of learning a new language. C++ was the chosen one. Then while versions and versions of the "little first thing" started to be deployed I realized that code is necessary for the existence of a game, but a good game has a great design. Not only the looks but the experience. A good game offers an experience.
Unreal Engine
What a wonderful piece of software! There's not a single day that I don't think: "what the hell was I doing before?!" But still, there's a lot to be done and the possibilities with this tool are just endless!
Rolling Rivals
My relief is to understand that many of us fell into the same trap: we get attached to the "first little thing" and try to make it bigger and bigger, redo it all, even bigger until the point that frustration overcomes excitement and it's the end of something that never existed.
Rolling Rivals is certainly my biggest effort to finish something! There's still so much to learn and build, but I think it got to a point that can be shared and enjoyed with someone else. After 277 versions, Demo01 is being cooked right now.
